Leo does Ibiza

At three months old, Leo and the Boss went to Ibiza

The Boss had to hop over to Ibiza just after she got Leo from Seville on 10th April 2018.

As Leo weighed under 8kg, she could fly with him to the island, which was going to be a huge change from the usual 8hour ferry crossing she has to do with me.

Travelling on the plane with a dog is very easy, or so we experienced the four times we used Vueling to fly. The dog must weigh under 8kg (although they never weighed Leo, we have heard that they can weigh them) and the weight has to include the bag. They also need an up to date European passport and all their vaccinations. As Leo was a puppy, he had no rabies vaccination but the vet had included a note in the passport in case we had any issues.

Their travel bag must be able to fully close otherwise you won’t be allowed on. This is for people with allergies on the plane. Also, Vueling has tiny seats! So when you board, ask to sit alone or with no one in the seat next to you. This was the case for us on all flights except on the full flights from Seville where we sat in the back row. There is hardly any room so beware and hope to sit next to someone who loves dogs.

Once in Ibiza, the Boss was lucky to stay with her uncle and aunt who live in Sant Augustin.

In April the island is already beginning to fill up. The Boss and I had been in Ibiza for 2 months between January – March and the island was blissful. By April it’s already groaning with tourists as Easter and summer approach. Yet dogs are still on beaches and in cooler weather so Leo had a good time!

Baby Leo is an amazing traveller and sleeps like a baby in his bag

As he was just three months old, the Boss was careful not to do too much with baby Leo.

They explored some beaches, met my favourite person – Anna Tur, aka a Scottie Mama for life, ate some yummy food but above all else, enjoyed a few days of Ibiza magic.

Leo & Anna

Leo has inherited the Scottish Terrier charm and makes everyone smile when he walks around. This makes the Boss proud and helps her feel like she has a purpose in life – spread more love!

We often feel like that is all we really are alive for, to help people feel connected to their own hearts and to feel joy.

So baby Leo loved Ibiza! We might try and live there one day but right now it isn’t possible as the island is very expensive and very popular. One day…

Leo was very happy in the garden, especially as cats were involved!

We love you IBIZA and Leo really did travel so very well. The Boss said it’s all thanks to his temperament and her being calm. Travelling with a puppy is both fun and magic!

Love you,

Charlie xx
